GT Carbon Fiber Bike

I saw this ad today, the seller is selling a GT Carbon Fiber Bike for $350. After some research (Google), I believe it's a GT STS, I may be wrong. I'm considering purchasing it purely because it's a unique looking bike. The ad states - "never ride this bike anymore. selling as is. everything still works, chain just needs to be shortened. rock shox psylo SL with 20mm hub."

What do you guys think? You think it's worth the price? Does anyone know the model & year? I'm an amateur, so any help will be great. Thanks

Maybe it's just the pictures but it looks to me like the head tube has been damaged and a hack job CF repair done. I wouldn't look twice at it before I ran away. Also see that front is disc but not the back ?? It was probably crashed and he had this stuff ready to glue it back together.

The front is disc and the rear isn't because the frame is old really old and never had the mounts for disks while the fork is much newer and does. I'm too lazy to look but I'm betting that thing is setup for an 80mm or maybe 100mm fork and that looks like 120mm.

WOW! That thing is old and the geometry is out of whack due the the huge fork on the front end. It has the stance of a downhill bike even though it's a 90's FS XC bike. If spdracer39 is right 9which he looks to be) I'd say that fork might be what caused the problem in the first place. pass....

Gt sts

frame is thermoplastic.

fork has too much travel for that frame.
