Loops near Kansas City, MO, financial district?

I will be visiting Kansas City, MO, for business, staying in the financial district area. Is there a safe loop nearby that would enable me to ride some intervals if I take a bike?

Thanks in advance for any pointers.

The Charles B. Wheeler downtown airport is where a lot of cyclists go to do intervals. You can just ride around and around without ever stopping. I've only ever driven there, but to ride there you'd want to take that Heart of America bridge. 169 is basically a freeway, so don't do that on a bike.

The loop can be a bit boring because it's only about 3 miles. But it's absolutely perfect for intervals.
