I'm looking for a group ride Sunday 5/4 ...I'm game for riding in or around Longmont, Boulder, Golden or Denver. I'm thinking 50 - 80 miles at a moderate pace. I rode 80+ last Sunday.

I might be up for that -- but I'm doing the RMCC 200km brevet on Saturday, so I'll be really slow and tired. Keep me posted if you plan anything, I want to keep my option open for lying-around-doing-nothing.

Anyone up for a ride this weekend? I’m thinking about throwing down a century probably on Saturday.
Or, perhaps a shorter ride, say a metric, with a bit of elevation gain? Or we could do a Denver trail system loop for 75ish flat miles.
Come on y’all… lets go play bicycles.
Telenik, I'd love to join you, but Sunday is my recovery ride day. Normally would be around 20 flat miles.

Sunday is my ride around the neighborhood or the platte with my son day. AKA recovery ride.
Pwnt, one of his friends, and I are meeting at the entrance to golden gate canyon north of golden to ride it Saturday morning. The plan at the moment is to meet at 11am. Anyone is more than welcome.
As for the length, we are playing it by ear. It may be an out and back or a loop via peak to peak and coal creek canyon depending on how we are feeling (specifically my arm that is still in therapy).
I am coming along on the club hypoxia ride next weekend. Hopefully, this ride tomorrow will be a decent indicator of how the accident has affected my fitness level.
I am expecting the downhills to be a bit chilly and will be packing my messenger bag. brrrr...

Popeye and I are riding to Estes tomorrow...it's not Denver, but...
If the wind dies down a bit, you're welcome to come along our way, and bring the Sunshine with you, too.

Hey SuperNana! What time are you and Popeye heading out?
(I'm guessing with the Sunshine reference, you were "talking" to me?)

I am looking to ride Rampart Range Road from Sedalia to Garden of The Gods. I believe this is a 60 mile dirt road route. I have not set a date yet. I am thinking in July and during a weekday as I work weekends. Love some company. This will be a oneday self supported ride. I plan to stay in the Springs that night. Let me know if you are intrested and we can hammer out the details.

I am going Golden Gate Canyon to 119 (Peak to Peak) over to Coal Creek and back on 93. Never done it before, looks like fun and under 4 hours. Any comments on this ride would be great. I plan to start 9:15.

It is a decent ride. Mapmyride said it was about 6000 feet of climbing and 50 miles. I need to ride it with my garmin to determine what the actual climbing is.
I did that loop when I was first working on climbing and it kicked my rear. Unfortunately, I have not ridden it in a while. The last time was while I was recovering from my lovely pollen allergies and being hit by a car. It did not go so well. Too bad pwnt did not bring a tow rope.
The traffic sometimes goes a bit fast. No shoulders. However, the steep parts and switchbacks can keep the motorist traffic at a slower speed.

I bailed on the trailridge ride tomorrow for the same reason.
Plus, with the exception of labor day, most of my weekend riding is done. My house is feeling the neglect and I need to repair\repaint my deck before the leaves start falling.
I'm going to cheat next year and meet up with eschelon spokes up in lafayette to try out their club. They have a race team and I think I will give it a shot before deciding if it is for me or not.

Yeah, I couldn't take a day off work because I'm covering for someone else while he's on vacation. Thankfully he'll be back tomorrow.

Does anyone know who organizes the race training rides around the Meridian loop every Tuesday / Thursday afternoon?
I work in Meridian (across the bridge from Lincoln Station) and twice a week we get a peloton of 50+ riders going around the blvd, and I've always wondered whether there's a club coordinating it or if it's just impromptu.

It's just impromptu, there's no real organization other than it starts at 6:00 and goes until 7:00 (plus or minus a lap). Everyone meets for the start on the west side of the loop, right after the big downhill, close to I-25. It's great training, there's a thread for it somewhere on the forum.

Any one got any info on the Saturday morning ride in Boulder?
I've heard of it before, but now that I am willing to try I can't seam to find any info on it. If I remember correctly, Amonte's coffee at 10:30, yea? No?
Thanks,
Tom

I am trying again to get a group ride together. I am up to ride MTB or Road. I work on weekends and Mon. I am in need of someone or ones who will help motivate me to speed up and climb faster. I am stuck in a rut because I have been riding solo for about 4 years now. I can ride most weekdays from 830am till 200pm or after 500pm. So if you are up to it let me know.
