Denver riders I need help!
I have to plan a bachelor's party in the Denver area in late August. But I don't know the area. I need some help finding things to do. Obviously I'd like cycling (probably mountain biking) to be a factor. This is a clean party so no strippers or anything like that.
Can I get some ideas, recommendations and pointers for the area?

Sing Sing's is really fun. It's basically duelling piano players that cover popular songs. Everyone sings along and gets drunk. My description doesn't do it justice. It is really a TON of fun and there are no strippers.

Chimney gulch is the mountain bike trail up Lookout, but for a more epic adventure do a ride up and around White Ranch (Jefferson County park near Golden).
Sing Sing is for girls.......
My ultimate guy day trip is a mountain bike ride in Buffalo Creek state park along the Colorado Trail and then burgers and pitchers at the Bucksnort Saloon, you have to google these to understand their uniqueness. Its an hour and change away from Denver but worth the drive and a great Colorado experience. Whats nice about the CO trail is that every level of experience can enjoy mountain bking out there.
Me, I got a house up in Breckenridge for the weekend and played paintball and mountain biked with the boys for mine.

What exactly are you looking for? I mean, if you are going to go straight from mountain biking to the bars, I would steer clear of LoDo. It is failry dressy and you will feel out of place.
What are his interests as well? I mean - we know no strippers, but you could go the dance club route if you are into clubs. How much $$$ are you guys willing to put down. For instance, if you do go to LoDo, you could hit some great restaurants, but be expected to shell out (with alcohol) about 50 - 60 a person minimum.
I agree with Dex: if dancing is not your thing (not mine I know that), Wynkoop in LoDo is the best bar. It is low key, but still has lots of hotties in there hanging out. The beer is awesome, and there are plenty of pool tables to give you something to do besides just sit around.
If you like Sctoch, head to Pints Pub (near the Art Museum). It has the largest selection of scotch in the United States in one location. If you like Peat Monsters, this is the place to go. Lots of Ardbeg and Laguvalin bottles to try. If you head here first, it will change up the night before heading out to the standard bars. This is not the place for women however.

I'm looking to eat up a whole day of stuff to do. He was the best man at my wedding and took the whole party out for paintball (well the wedding party chipped in for that) then we had a pub crawl of the higher end watering holes in Albany NY. So I'm trying to meet or top that in Denver where he lives. I am looking for something memorable, which is why I thought of mountain biking. I'd also be open to rafting and paintball (might be a bit of a rerun considering my bachelor party).
As for drinks and food, he actually makes his own wine and is a chef by trade -- so any food or drink options will have to be pretty impressive.
The wedding is in the 3rd week of August so I've got a little bit of time to plan.
As for how much cash... I dunno. I'm not too worried about dropping 60 bucks a plate for dinner. Depends on what the other grooms men (and hangers on) have to say. But I'm open to suggestions.
