Sad times.

Well, the decision has been made, and it's all over except the packing and the tears.

My wife and I are moving to Portland next month. I'll really miss all of you that I've ridden with here in Colorado, and I'll miss the Rockies. I'll be back to visit once in a while, I'm sure... the Rockies are in my soul and I could never leave them forever, but it seems that my life is taking me away from them again... at least for a while.

The only consolation for me is that I know Portland is a great place to ride as well, and I know I'll meet new friends there, but I'm REALLY going to miss all of you that I've ridden with here.

It's hard moving away, and starting over. I can sympathize with that. But it's hard to tell if you might be a little sarcastic. I mean, it's Portland! In my humble opinion, that's better than San Francisco, Seattle, and Prague all rolled together inside a corn tortilla with salsa verde.

Denver is awesome. But give it six months, and aside from a few faces, you may not miss it. If I'm wrong, I will gladly take your place up there. Enjoy!! And good luck!!!

Dang it. Heck, I'm going to have to come with you on one of those rides.

Portland is a good place. A few of my cousins relocated there from SE Washington State.

My son is up there is it is a serious cycling center. You'll enjoy that part of it. You might miss the sunshine here but the seafood is great and people funky. Enjoy.

Sorry you have to go, BM... but you'll be OK... Portland is a pretty cool town. And coastal oregon is spectacular cycling.
