Trusted Wheel Builder in Colorado

Ok, I have absolutely nothing against Vecchios in Boulder, Peter has been very helpful and taken the time to explain some design choices. However, I just want some other wheel builders to compare them against. I have a new Cervelo R3 and am in search of my first handbuilt wheelset. I am in Denver, but would consider any recommendations for excellent builders anywhere in Colorado.

Scott at Salvagetti builds good wheels, but I don't know if he does performance wheels much; I think he mostly does higher spoke count, commuter-style wheels. It's probably worth checking with him, though.

Personally, I would recommend a short trip out to Louisville Cyclery. I worked there years ago and have known the owner, Scott since the late 80's when I started building frames. Now, to 100% honest here, I can only vouch for him and his "number 1", Rusty, I don't know who is on his permanent staff these days, but both Scott and Rusty are extraordinarily qualified wheel builders with literally decades experience with building race wheels.
