Hey Denver:

My lease at my current apartment is up in February. Right now, I'm in Littleton(Broadway/Mineral). I got this place when I was working at my former employer. I have since quit my job, and am going to school full time at Metro State. So as it stands, I ride 2 miles to the lightrail, and take that downtown. But I have another 3ish years of school before I'll be done, so I'm thinking of moving someplace closer, and I'm looking for suggestions please.

All I need is a place for me, and my dog. Preferably someplace I can easily bike alot of places, but I also have the RTD pass since I am a Metro student. I do need some kind of parking, as I'm not entirely giving up my car yet, but I want to minimize it's use(mostly to just snowboarding trips in the winter ). Any suggestions on apartment buildings to check out? Almost forgot, I'd like to keep it fairly inexpensive. I'm paying ~$1,100 now. I'd like to get that down a few hundred at least.

Try "highlands" AKA "north Denver" (basically, W of I 25 ) and downtown, nice easy ride to downtown. We have a rental house in that area we rent for $1175 so you should be able to find some thing similar. (don't rent to "Dog folks"(hardwood floors)Bud

I completely understand that. So many people have untrained dogs, and let them destroy things. And thanks for the tip.

I enjoyed living in south capitol hill. At 6th and Downing. We had plenty of space for two people and a cat. Had a parking spot and it was real easy to bike places. Stick to the neighborhoods surrounding downtown and you'll be in a great location.
