Big Mountain - East Canyon - SR 65 Conditions (Utah)?
 

Riding Big Mountain this weekend. Has anyone been up there lately? Wonder if there's any snow. Would like to continue on to East Canyon but with how cold spring has been so far, I'm certain there's snow on the Morgan County side. Thanks in advance.

For those interested, I rode Big Mountain last weekend. Some debris in the road (various sized rocks here and there), a little bit of mud/dirt on the last switchback, but otherwise clear and great for riding. Saw a coyote (heard a bunch), porcupine, and a moose.

Big Mountain is still one of my favorite road rides, and the downhill is tough to beat. I'm not as fast on the downhill as the pros are riding it during the Tour of Utah, but 47-48 mph is plenty fast for me ....

I rode Emigration when I first got my bike last year and loved it.

It's a great ride. FYI, UDOT says the road will open on 5/16/13 at 3:00 pm, so if you haven't been up there already go now before cars and trucks head up there.

I went yesterday. Despite being crazy hot for May, it was a great ride. I love having the road closed to cars.
