Neuvation

If you build custom wheels there is one tool you must have. It costs about $4500, but it’s a bargain. The Phil Wood spoke threader is the only spoke threading tool that actually works (outside of production spoke threading equipment).

With the variety of hubs, spokes, and rims we offer in our custom build shop, it’s guaranteed that often not only will we not have, but also our suppliers won’t have the right spoke lengths. The “Phil Tool” not only rolls the threads (very important to roll them instead of cut them – it’s much stronger) but cuts the spoke off at the same time.

While we build lots of custom wheels, we still build many of our stock Neuvation wheels in California. The R28 SLW (wide rim), and all of our carbon and alloy tubular wheels are assembled here. We have recently added two new features to those wheels – the option of red anodized hubs and the choice of decal colors. So technically these are stock wheels but they have nice custom options unavailable anywhere else at these prices.
