New format this morning. Why? It was workning fine.
What's the deal with the blank white space at the top now?
Edit: Disregard this post. My titanium membership hasn't been applied yet. That's the format change I'm seeing.

If an employee writes something about the operation of the forums, or what bugs are important and what bugs aren't, that obviously means something. (as compared to a random user's babbling) Having the employees simply identify themselves as such is not unreasonable. Most companies insist on it anyway.

It has nothing to do with playing nice.

Implying I actually have a job is a statement that should be moved to Politics and Religion as it requires an act of God in this town.

Employees do Identify themselves. We at the IB level all have 3 stars of Blue. Some are site volunteers, and some are IB Staff. The Moderators are all volunteer staff, but they also represent IB. Blue Star or stars= Represents the site or IB. ONe exception to that is bconver, who has Admin rights, etc, but is way above the crowd and doesn't normally get involved in day to day ops.

These are transients, I think. They should be corrected next week.

I've noticed that, AEO, but nobody can say bad things either unless they use Quick Reply, and use QUOTE and /QUOTE in brackets and paste.

did the text size shrink to microscopic levels?
I had to his ctrl+ to actually see anything now.

Is it my imagination, or has/is/are all posts since the update done earlier today (1.20.10) being rendered in a more vertical format? I noticed it with both the latest FF and IE8. Talk about white space!

Weird. My previous post (113) was done using IE8. It came out more horizontal, showed up on 2 lines (and I had to scroll right to see all of the first line, like now). Then I brought up FF (which I'm using right now), and that same 2 line post is now 3 lines.
Dunno what your code monkeys were attempting to fix, but I think that they created more problems...
ETA: I think I know what the monkeys were up to. They working on support for mobile devices, right? Easier to scroll up/down than side/side. I'll have to check out the rendering on my media phone.

This setup, as of today, seems to make the best use of my standard CRT's space and I've noticed the ads are confined to the top banner and right side while reading this thread (no more half and half ad/post posts)! Two side by side banners at the top sounds acceptable and I don't mind if the right banner is utilized a bit more but the ones that split post formatting instead of breaking between the posts are not all that cool.

Except maybe that post that had Jenny Craig
Now it's THIS one...I know why! That's where an ad would go!

When I'm looking at this page many of the entries are just white space. Rollfast's post above just looks blank. But if I reply with quote I can see the text.
What's up?

What browser? I need the info to pass on to the tech guys, and a screenshot would also help with diagnostics.

when a post includes a quote, when i click the link in the quote it doesn't go to the post quoted. instead it goes to the op.
