Cycle Massachusetts, ride for Massbike - now with added skydiving!

What’s on your bucket list?

Is it to spend a whole week cycling with friends through gorgeous scenery?

Or do you want to kick it up a notch and try skydiving?

You can do it all at Cycle Massachusetts, the famous statewide charity tour that is also known as the Friendliest Ride in the East. We’re delighted to welcome cyclists for a weekend or a whole week depending on YOUR schedule. Here’s some highlights for 2017:
  • Jump from a plane! That’s right – you’ll have the option to cycle to Jumptown in Orange, MA, and try skydiving!
  • Three states in one ride – not only do we explore Massachusetts, but we’ll ride the quiet roads of Vermont and New Hampshire as well.
  • Family riding weekend! Our opening weekend is especially family-friendly complete with shorter rides to kid-approved destinations, a popsicle party, and an all-ages outdoor movie!
  • Club discounts available – contact bruce@cyclema.com for more details
We’re excited to welcome riders to our fantastic start/finish location at the Stoneleigh-Burnham School in Greenfield, Massachusetts. With two nights on their lovely campus, and two nights each in Putney, VT, and Orange, MA, you’ll have time to explore the most scenic vistas, visit local landmarks, and savor each experience with new friends. We promise something fun to see or do every 10 miles.

Cycle Massachusetts is from August 5th through 11th (2, 4, 5, and 7 day options available) and all proceeds support the Massachusetts Bicycle Coalition. Sign up today: The registration deadline is July 15th, and Cycle Massachusetts is limited to 150 riders! (early bird discount through February)

Well, I'd do the sky-dive, but I'd hate to scratch my bicycle as it goes out the door.

Seriously, this sounds like a seriously friendly ride, and is at the top of my list for organized rides.

Just a matter of getting the H-harness set up right.......(old paratrooper joke).

Bicycle gets its own parachute, of course!

Another thing we discovered is that if your nerves are shot afterwards, there's actually a craft brewery you can visit on your ride back to the campground from the skydiving!

1989Pre, it is SO friendly - we have actually just added a "New Rider Reception" for the first day of the tour, so I hope you'll be one of those new riders. Always great to actively welcome all our first-timers!

Breaking News! Take the train; leave the car at home!

Breaking news: it turns out that our fantastic bicycle adventure is just a train ride away! Enjoy the NEW roll-on Amtrak service from Washington DC, Baltimore, Philly, NYC, Hartford, and points in between, and we’ll pick you up at Greenfield, MA – just three miles from the start/finish of Cycle Massachusetts!

We’re the Friendliest Ride in the East, and we’re delighted to welcome cyclists for a weekend or a whole week in early August – we cater to all types of schedules. With long, short, and super-short riding options each day, we also cater every riding style. We also believe in having fun off the bike, so we offer delicious meals, nightly happy hours and campfires, and fun activities like skydiving (for real!) and kayaking! We also have a New Rider Reception this year, to make everyone feel welcome.

All friendly cyclists are welcome at Cycle Massachusetts (a benefit for Massbike) – sign up or learn more at https://www.cyclema.com!
