URGENT: Kissena Corridor Question
I want to ride this on Saturday, September 10, 2016, but I don't have a lot of info about it. I hope to leave before 10-11am.
If I start at Kissena Park, off Utopia Parkway, is the corridor clearly marked all the way to Flushing Meadow? Do I have to map out some on-road connections before I go?
If this is complicated, I will do it some other time.
Thanks!

There is a path from Utopia Pkw bet Underhill and Peck that goes as far as 170th St. Then it's Underhill to 164th St. There is a path in Kissena Park from 164th to Kissena Blv. After that - forget about it. Quiet streets that might lead you to Flushing Meadow are one-way the wrong way. There was a Lindsay era bike path that has been usurped by the Queens Botanical Gardens.
The TA NYC Century is tomorrow and the 75 & 100 mile rides usually use Corridor Park. Anything near Kisssena is likely to be crowded. They moved the rest stop from the Kissena Park Boathouse to the Forest Park Bandshell a few years ago. I'll be wrenching at Forest Park for the duration, starting at 8:30.

In any event, it looks like today is not a good day for a quiet ride through Queens. Also, based on your description, it seems like this idyllic romp is not quite what others have described. I guess I will head somewhere else today and do some more research on the Corridor before giving it a spin.
Thanks again.
