Another gorgeous afternoon in Upstate NY. There wont be too many of these days left lol. I cruised along the canal today. Not surprisingly a lot of people were out. Temps hit 60, sun was out. I just basically went to the aqueduct then I zoomed back into the clintons ditch trail which is more rugged than the standard trail. About 5 miles total.

Wont be long now lol..

Clintons Ditch Trail Entrance

About half way in

Well see if the weather holds...

Once you cross the road at the power plant, it's a nice little climb. Short but steep.i cN burn through most of my gears riding g that section.

Are you local to this area? Now that hu tint season is in full swing. I am not wish g the CVT anymore. I t s scary to bw riding and hear gun shots coming from both sides.

Sadly most of my miles will be coming g from the exercise bike at PF.

Its only been about 45 minutes and its now down to 52. They are talking a foot plus of snow for us starting tonight more in some areas lol. Most likely im done for awhile lol

Nice ride today! I rode around a few area parks, about 40 miles total. Warm, but started to get pretty windy. It's supposed to start snowing tonight and into tomorrow. I'm going to put the studded tires on the Fuji, and ride into work Monday. We're supposed to have wind gusts up to 30 MPH, so it should be interesting!

Nice short 22 miles from NYC to the Englewood Boat Basin. Is it just me or anyone else having problems with sun glare this time of year?

Similar to what I woke up to today. 15" of snow. First time I've used my snow blower in 2 years. I got the studs on the Fuji yesterday, but didn't ride in today. They wouldn't be much help in that kind of snow.

Almost 50 today, and my head cold appears to be mostly gone so I went out for a quick 12 miles along the Hudson in NYC. I do need to get some winter weight gloves. Everything was warm except my fingers and face.

Boy the past three days here have been unreal. 2ft of snow is all gone, its been sunny, 60's. The snowboards are and have been board...With low air in my tires off I went yesterday and today for nothing more than local cruises to and from work and close parks. I guess I should be shocked about the sun and warm coming back but looking at the calendar February is pretty much over. That being said March and April around here do quickly turn into January/Feb weather at times so for this week and next the bike will be in force lol..

72 degrees today. I feel like im having Christmas in the Summer. I just cruised around to some local parks, enjoyed the sun. The nice thing is that it looks like the weather stays this way until well into next week...

I love when 19 inches of snow interrupt your riding plans!

2 feet here

Had a couple of days of thaw, now it's cold again. I'll be riding the bike to nowhere again.

I found my first pair of bike shoes (super worried about fit issues). Can't wait to haul my bike to LBS for pedals and cleats(I bought the shoes at a LBS, just not MY LBS).

I actually went for a bike ride today, short and sweet sort of a shakedown cruise on my new cruiser. I think I might go for a longer rider tomorrow...Weather is supposed to be awesome

Finally out on the road

I took my bike to the park yesterday to work things out with my shoes and new pedals. It was my first time moving. Today I took it out on the road for my first time with clipless pedals. Good time and I tipped over once. Managed to scrape my leg up without drawing blood. I call it a win

My wife and I did a wonderful Jamaica Bay loop: Emmons Ave => Flatbush Greenway => Cross Bay Bridge => Rockaways Beachfront => Gil Hodges Bridge => back to Flatbush => back to Emmons.

Highly recommended 40 mile loop!

We've had some decent riding weather in Binghamton lately. But yesterday and today we're back to freezing rain/snow conditions. High hopes for the weekend though should be dry and 40s 50s. With any luck I'll get out both days.

Thought I would revive this post for the season. I rode a glorious ride through the rolling hills of Western NY. Only 17 miles but it was a nice workout because of the hills. Kept my cadence up and enjoyed the ride.

It has just been a rough March April and May weather wise around here. We have had some flooding so the canal and other areas have had muddy conditions. Up where my camp is is a disaster area with flooding so ive held off from even bringing a bike up there. But it is getting better. Ive been commuting to work daily on the bikes. But plan on starting other rides this Friday.

I took a group of 4 out for a 50 mile ride on Sunday. Best riding weather I have seen in a long time, overcast so the sun wasn't beating on us, but still in the low 70s, no wind. Absolutely great day for a ride along the Hudson up to the Saratoga Battlefield.
