super buggy Saturday. guess it's time to break out the head net again. been a cpl months since I tackled my nemesis hill, had to stop 1/2 way up. it's been even longer since I did it 3 times on the same ride w/ no stops
did not pass any turtles on the trails. the only snake I saw was squished on a paved road at the entrance. but I did pick up this hitch hiker, possibly in the tall grass, in the field, at the beginning of the ride. felt him crawling on my leg when I was taking my footwear off. I did make periodic tick-checks but he may have been camo'd in with my socks & sandals? I still had a nice layer of insect repellent on my body so he had not yet found a tasty spot to bite

took a walk w/ Wifey in the rain yesterday, partially on the bike trail, thru the corridor. the baby geese are too big to ride the backs of their parents now

got on the paved trail to S. Acton train station, then headed back toward the river last night. got lucky w/ a narrow window of opportunity. raging winter storm just a few hours later
