Happy 4th of July to fellow Americans
proud to live in Massachusetts Metro West where the American revolution began against tyranny by average folk like blacksmiths, gunsmiths & farmers. but glad that's all behind us! here's to safe travels & peaceful celebrations to all. anyone riding around Lexington, or Concord & Battle Road or Minute Man National Historical Park today? I'll bet the re-enactors will be out in force

Yeah I used to live in Arlington and I loved heading up the Minuteman trail to Lexington and Concord. Great riding in that part of MA.

I had a great 4th of July ride today from my summer home in North Billerica to Harvard. I've been out there a few times before, but this time I took a new route.

The depot is at the intersection of Harwood St and King Street in Littleton. I was in that building a few years ago, and it was a shop for restoring old coal and wood fired kitchen stoves. I don't know if that business is still there.
The oldest wooden train station in Massachusetts still standing is in Auburn. It is now a pizza and sub shop. I had a meatball sub with provolone there, and it was very good!
