Bikes: The same GT Outpost Mountain bike I've been riding since 1996, although I modify it throughout the year for commuting, touring, and recreational riding.

Next time, consider Misquamicut Beach and Narragansett, Rhode Island. They are just a little further and will give you bragging rights for having crossed the state line!

EDIT (post 2021 ride): Also consider Watch Hill, Rhode Island, a nice little beach town and a great place to stop for lunch and reflection.

I found Old Saybrook to be a nice place to spend the evening.
Agreed! This is a beautiful stretch.

I'd love to do it again someday.
