nba: does the trail in AA co(where you rode) go south of Patuxent rd along Bragers rd? Or does it end at Pax rd?
I thought the trail went to conway rd, but it doesnt. It must go almost there. I had to actually backtrack a bit and hook up with patuxent, then get on conway. On the map, it really looks like it continues, but it doesnt. I didnt see a sign of Braggers rd actually. Now that I am looking at the map I am wondering why I didnt see Braggers rd? I do not think I made it to those power lines. That being said, I didnt actually go 100% to the end and look around. There was a large family hanging out at the end of the trail so I didnt want to interrupt. It may just be a dirt rd? There was some large bushes blocking the end of the trail. Anyway, it ends right around there and does NOT go over the Patuxent river. My grandparents live in Bowie and its kind of a pain because there is no way to get there between 295 and route 3 (which is basically impossible to cycle on).

nr: the WB&A is much less used than the B&A, and much shorter, but it is not completed. If you ever wanted to hook up with it from Annapolis you can use the "proposed" south shore trail rt (orange line) using 175&178. You could also use my route from the BWI trail. WB&A Rd actually reminded me a lot of the B&A Trail without the constant stopping! All nice and flat down there. https://maps.google.com/maps?f=q&hl=e...C1.kml&ie=UTF8

It was just one way and I did get a ride back. I didnt really have time yesterday to ride back

Harford Rd and North Ave were very nice rides actually. It was Easter Sunday around 11 AM when I went by those areas so I am sure that has to be one of the best times of the year to pass through there on a bike! Most of that is a downhill so I could really fly through there. Not sure if I would want to pass through that way at night with my lights blinking though

Charlie,

I'd like to, but I'm guessing my timing wouldn't work. My fit appt. is at 3PM. I will be at work for 1/2 day so earliest I might be in College Park is 2PM. I'd do a late lunch if ya wanna, but I bet you're close to quitting time by then.

Our Bike-to-Work day event is 1 May. We gather at a location just a couple of miles out, ride in together, do a few ceremonial laps around the main complex of buildings, and have some bagels and juice on the lawn. There are actually quite a few bike commuters here, but the place is so big and people's schedules are so varied, we're usually visible only in one-sies/two-sies. It's kind of cool when we all get together at the same time.

You mean that people notice that Baltimore had no coffee last year?

Maxine, if your group want's t-shirts and a few prizes let me know and I'll see what I can do. Most likely we will not have them by May 1st but sometime after your event it could be arranged.

Ummm... it was very raw that morning--windy; so much so that the little tents were trying to blow away. We needed coffee and the folks who were suppose to deliver coffee and bagels were very late, iirc.

Woo Hoo, I started my new job on weds, tomm will be my first commute to work from home
(18 miles one way) and back. I plan on taking Lombard to Frederick Rd then keep on going til I'm there. My father inlaw is insisting I just drive to his house and then commute (10 miles), I doubt @ 5am they are hoodlum w/guns out looking for the loony in bike clothes and blinking lights. Some people get so freaked out when you mention "city"

Hopefully I can commute 2 days a week, once from home (36 miles) and once from the inlaws (20 miles).

Sweet, I'll have to pedal up there and say hi some time, once I figure out a route from my place. Your shop looks like it has some personality. I dig that.

Hey All: Check out this serious touring bike from CL. It's a Swiss military issue. Makes Barrys ride look tiny.

Doesn't look much different than a really heavy BOB trailer. And not designed too well either- attachment at the seat post instead of at the rear dropouts?!
Extracycle is a way better design.
BTW Barry got a snazzy new deck on his. Stylin'

So, what's your weekend look like?

Saturday morning, too early, 8am, I'm racing... again.

Here:

https://bimactive.com/ba/ui/route_det..._routeID=22100

Notice... it's very near York Furnace, 'cept I won't be riding up to York Furnace this time, 'cuz of the race. I need to save my legs. Maybe, after I find the race start location, check in and pick up my number, I'll ride around to get warmed up. I hate warming up on a trainer.

Sunday... don't know, but I'll need a long easy ride somewhere.

Et tu?

If you want company Sunday post your ride, I'll check my home life and get back to you. Your race is 2.5 miles?? Or do you ride in a circle 50 times?

Only 10 laps. This time, I'll have 5 other teammates.

I'd like company, but currently I'm aimless.
