I'm up for a ride to anywhere. Earlier the better. If we drive to start I can fit 1 in my truck. Where do you want to go.
NR is still aimless.
Anyone else???
GB how did the fit go? Ready to ride?
I'll check back later tonight. I "have" to brew an IPA now.

I'm ready to ride. But my schedule tomorrow is a tough one. I'm committed to my niece's birthday party from 12-3. Tough to schedule around that, but I would try my best to hook up with anyone before or after.
Looks like the most recent weather forecasts are putting the rain later in the day tomorrow.

The bike fitting was amazing. I'll give more info 'bout that later.

I'm kidding!!! C'mon!

Good for me after I fix my rear tire. Apparently, I acquired a flat sometime during my race. The sealant is letting it hold about 40 psi... and, I thought I was just tired by the end of the race!

Anyway, I discovered it before riding to Annapolis this afternoon. I attempted to place more sealant in it and it held for awhile, but it's back down again. So, I need to replace the tire.

Where does this ride start, GB?

Well, I may be out of this ride. I need to go to bed... It's been a long day. I can't stay up and monitor for a decision much longer.

I didn't replace the rear tire. It was too firm to let go, so I added more Tufo Extreme Sealant to it. I couldn't hear it leaking like I did at the airport, so I think I'm going to declare success.

Also, I did a retread of the tire, coating nearly the entire contact patch with ShoeGoo after scrubbing it down with a ScotchBrite pad. By morning that tire should be bulletproof.

I'm sorry guys, but I just don't see how I can make this happen for me. My family schedule is just too tight. I don't want to run out on my niece's birthday and I don't want to rush a good ride with you guys either. Since I can't do both and I'm currently committed to the fam, I'll have to say no to the ride. Apologies.

BTW I recently fiddled with the route, but I'll make sure it's good in case any of you ride it. Most of it is a route Barry and I rode a few months back- just in reverse. Ride starts and ends at Ellicott Mills Brewery in Ellicott City.

The shorter route has a 2-3 mile dirt rd section in it- Ridge rd. Barry's been on it. Nice, if you're into that sort of thing.
Wish I could go. I guess I've got Barry and NR's cell #'s. I'll call if I can get out early. Maybe meet you at the bar. Have fun.

Hey Guys: Board check time. Anybody? I'm going to ride GBs longer route. Probably leaving at 8 unless I hear from someone. call my cell 410%%564@@9833(notice how cleverly disguised it is). I better go turn it on.

Sorry guys... intended to sleep in until 7am, but I guess the body is still on DST--woke up at 8am. By the time I got some morning ritual stuff completed and the bike readied it's now, nearly 9am.

I guess I'll go do a ride somewhere else.

Barry? Charlie? How was the ride?

Mine was pretty interesting, fun, and I wish I had more time to continue further south:

I figured no one was coming (didn't see Barry's last post). So rode to Ellicott Mills brew co, saw no one and took off. I was never certain 9 was "the" time, Ellicott brewing Co was the meet point nor what ride was decided. Riding up Rodgers I hear my cell, it was Barry(NR, I would have made you proud the way I quickly answered). I waited for him to catch up and we had a great day riding. We rode the longer one, 50ish miles plus distance to home.
GBs route was excellent, lots of hills but not too huge. Real rural and scenic. I really enjoyed Powell Run. By the time our ride was near the end I felt beat, even had a slight cramp in my thigh. I haven't biked this many miles in a few months. I've lost my rando mojo. We also stopped at a decent Italian Cafe on Liberty and Klee Rd. They even served an excellent hoppy IPA
NR glad to see you got your aimless ways aimed, looks like a nice ride out there. Sorry we didn't ride w/ you but we lack certain decision making abilities last night. I'm surprised we were able to pull it off.
GB thanks for the cue, not a single mistake
Barry nice riding w/ you, good times

I waited by the Brewing company for someone to show, called Charlie at 9 and he already started out, so met him on Rodgers, a bit into the ride.

I think I'm going to rename that route: The land of the rider mowers. Absolutely a perfect day to ride, everything blossoming especially the Apple trees, wonderful scenery in route. There was also multiple descents that were fun to ride. This has to be one of GB's best routes yet.

I was pushing things to keep up with Charlie, especially noticeable climbing hills where he graciously waited for me at the top. Around mile 30 we stopped at a restaurant for something to eat and a drink. Food was wonderful and outdoor seating was enjoyable. We'll have to stop by there again sometime.

Since we both road out we road back via the Trolly #9 Trail/Edmondson Ave and split at Rolling Road. I arrived home perfectly and wonderfully spent and took a nap. So I logged in about 70 miles today.

Man, you guys were out in my neck of the woods, riding some of my regular roads! I hadn't checked here recently and had commitments on Sunday anyhow, but next time maybe I'll meet up with you guys if you are willing to roll slow enough for me to keep up I'm guessing the Italian bistro you mentioned was Amantes; that is about 2 miles from my house.

Next time Mike. You could have kept up. Especially after the bistro, great food that sat heavy in my belly for a long time. Rosemary chicken ravioli.

Todays commute...squish squish, squish...glad I have a hot pump room to dry everything out. I don't know how you guys with regular offices dry out your crap. I'm even drying out my pannier.

It only just started raining when I got to Towson (~6:40am). From Essex to Parkville it was relatively dry, except for some overnight precip on the roads.

I dry my stuff off in front of a ceramic heater, the clothing hanging off of a chair in the corner of my cubicle.

Splendid day for a nooner ride

I just saw this report on tires. Found it interesting, tho haven't read it all. FWIW: the folks doing the test also sell the tires but interesting nonetheless(especially tire width). At their homepage they have reports on bikes including the Coho!

Bad news about the free stay near Ocean City--my friend G is having her mother, who is convalescing from cancer treatment, move in with her. She'll be helping her mother out.

So... we'll not be able to stay at her place at all. I guess I need to start hotel shopping for that weekend soon, before availability runs out.
