crap missed it! I did the memorial ride in Queens. Hope y'all had fun.

Also, I posted in the Nyack thread if anyone wants to go up Sunday Morning.

noteon 10-02-09 11:03 PM

It was fun, but it rained partway through, so the ill-prepared all bailed. I spent the last half of the ride whistling Singin' in the Rain and imagining somebody would care that I know all the words.

pgoat 10-03-09 05:51 AM

That's the spirit!

jyossarian 10-05-09 08:27 AM

I missed this too, mostly cuz I was out of town. Sounds like fun tho!

jyossarian 11-06-09 01:49 PM

Central Park Moonlight Ride tonight! Bring lights!

noteon 11-06-09 04:47 PM

I just got back from Nyack, and boy are my arms tired.

Have fun. Maybe next month...

jyossarian 11-06-09 08:18 PM

Aiight noteon, rest your arms. BTW, Mondays is $25 AYCE at Hill Country. Pass it on.

noteon 11-06-09 08:20 PM

Ayce?

Okay, why won't it let me type it in caps?

jyossarian 11-06-09 08:42 PM

Your response can't be all in caps. AYCE=All You Can Eat.

noteon 11-07-09 07:05 AM

jyossarian 11-09-09 10:08 AM

Do it! We all have extra calories to burn off! We'll need to do a month of moonlight rides to burn it all off.

FWIW, that finger I "hurt" doing my pond dive turned out to have an actual fracture... called mallet finger. It's been tightly splinted the past 6-7 weeks and needs to be that way for a bit longer. I have twist shifters, AND want to make sure it DID get at least somewhat stright, so have been off the bike. By March or April, depending on weather, I should be back to this particular ride... without a bent over finger that I now refer to as my "Times Out Trophy."
