Social Distortion legend dies
Bassist Brent Liles hit by truck
Social Distortion's former bassist Brent Liles was killed when he was hit by a truck on Thursday (January 18).

Liles was riding his bicycle across the street in Placentia, California.

Liles was a member of the legendary Los Angeles punks Social Distortion from 1983 until 1988.

He appeared on their 1983 debut 'Mommy's Little Monster' before quitting.

According to local paper the OC Register, Liles was riding his bicycle westbound on Orangethorpe Avenue, as he entered the Orange 57 highway, a big rig carrying a trailer turned right onto the on-ramp and accelerated hitting Liles. He was pronounced dead at the scene.
