What is he, a rancher? Who brings their calves to a bike ride? Must be a Mennonite thing.

The quality inn in lancaster still has rooms.

Is everyone in? Thursday afternoon I'm going to pm the cell phone and name list to everyone who has gotten numbers to me; if you want to connect with the list, shoot me a pm by about 2:00 ET.

I'll also be resizing the BF tag for anyone who wants to do an ID, and will attach it somewhere in here.

Current forecast for the area for Sunday is partly sunny, highs in the mid to upper 70's - nice! There's not a lot of shade on this ride; it'll be great to not be baking in the cornfields.

Later,

Beth

Hey Scootter, what's the traffic like on US 30 through York? I might detour through Gettysburg, since Cheri has never been there, then come across 30 into Lancaster.

It is not to bad, as long as you dont hit rush hour. they are doing const on the one part and it is down to one lane, but that is the bypass part where there is no lights. It opens up to three lanes through most of the York light cycle, once you get out of the lights, it gets pretty open.

As for RNW's suggestion, both the time and the speed probably preclude me. I hope you will reconsider and ride with the majority BF group at 8ish or whenever we are starting.

Mike
Since I'm not familiar with this particular ride, I'll probably be on the conservative side and ride around 14-15mph for the first 1/3 of the ride....but I may ramp it up later on.....don't wanna bonk early and make it a miserable ride.....besides, I hope to socialize and find it a bit difficult to at the higher pace....I plan on leaving around 8:00am and I'll be on a huge red Schwinn Paramount road bike and a cheap medium blue Performance jersey , if anyone wants to meet up with moi....

See y'all there!

Doesn't sound like anyone should worry about showing up and being slower than the cat 1s leading the BF peloton as there will be plenty of us speed-challenged working our drafting technique in the middle and back of the pack.. Heck, I've even been practicing my zone 2 technique. Don't think I can maintain that heart rate over hills, though.

My boss says that the note has to be from my mommy or daddy.

CoinciDENTALLY a filling fell out today so I've managed to skive off to the dentist tomorrow morning. Which should mean a pretty short day tomorrow. See you all on Saturday/Sunday.

I know I'm late, but I just nailed down my plans to go. I'll likely be wearing a Super Grover jersey, and riding a silver OCR C3.

My aim is to crush souls and drope the hammer.

Then I'll get on my bike.

Perhaps. We'll see what I'm capable of on Saturday. Today I could only ride 4 miles before I stopped. I tried to climb a hill and I didn't have the lungs to get up it. Not legs, lungs.

The latest forecast is for "showers" - pffffft. I'm riding anyway.

And I will most likely be wearing this:
