where can I find the yr my fuji was built

Posting pictures and specs in the Classic and Vintage forum is a good start.

I also think there was a posting in there with a link to a source for interpreting Fuji's serial numbers, although I don't have it bookmarked. You may be able to find it with some searching, but it may be a needle in the proverbial haystack.

I did just that, posted pics of my '83 frame and it was identified by the Classic & Vintage guys in about 2 hours. They know their stuff.
