This is last year's route profile (the year before that it was a little different, but not much). It was about 2,700ft of total elevation, mostly rollers. The sat ride I have no clue... last year we just kind of made our own route. Lancaster county is all rolling hills, with some short steep climbs scattered throughout.

Had to skip out last year, but this year I'm back in. This is the day after the Highway To Heaven TT, so I'm out for the Saturday ride; we'll see what kind of shape I'm in for Sunday. Looking forward to this.

I was planning to attend, but I have some sort of funky hip injury going on. Yesterday, it took me about 5 minutes to get out of a chair due to the pain. This should be interesting! However, I will make every effort to be there, even if I can do only the shortest distance - but right now I'm still planning for the metric!

I hope you heal up quickly, HG.

Thanks! The doctor gave me some steroids, which I hope will do the trick. With a little luck, the only side effect will be talking like Ah-nold!

As far as the white legs are concerned, the two of us could stand on opposite sides of a baked potato on a hot summer day, use our legs as reflectors, and cook it in under 5 minutes!

So, I went a couple of years ago, had to miss last year because of work, and since that time I've not spent a lot of time on BF.... I had all but forgotten about it for this year, when out of nowhere a couple of weeks ago, my wife shows me the brochure that came in the mail and says she's interested in doing it. She'll be riding my old schwin mountain bike I got at target like 8 years ago. Trying to get her out every weekend, hopefully she'll be ready.

I'm sure that's true. However, I present as evidence the following events which occurred yesterday:

1) During my physical therapy evaluation, the physical therapist said that she was glad that she saw me that day - I made her feel better about her tan.

2) While leaving the supermarket later that night, a woman a few steps behind me said to her boyfriend, "Look at those pasty legs..." There was no one else around.

So let this be a warning to all the members of Bike Forums. If StupidlyBrave and I are riding next to each other, we could cause enough sun glare to force the buggies off the road! If the forecast is for a bright and sunny day on August 16, be sure to bring your darkest tinted sunglasses. Perhaps one of these helmets would do the trick:
