What a wonderful collection of Life on a Bike in DC. I haven't checked in for a while. I love the Stay Extraordinary photo! Keep going!

Thanks, Tulip. I took a short vacation which was extended three days when my return flight got cancelled due to snow. Then I broke my arm snowboarding at Whitetail, so I'm going to be off the streets for a while. Hopefully I'll be back before too long.

Well, this brings me out of my self imposed ban.

What were you thinking? That you are 25 years younger? Which arm (you know, dominant or off-side - I'll bet dominant) and how bad?

Not my dominant side and not broken too bad, I guess. When it happened there was a noticeable kink in my arm which led me to think at least one bone was snapped in half. ER doctors told me it would probably need surgery but I saw an orthopedist today and he says it probably will heal OK without surgery. There are a bunch of fragments but I can't really see them. It looks pretty good to me. This picture was taken today. It's the radius, the bone on the right here. The white mark on the shaft is an artifact, the damage is on the end near the wrist.

I was 25 years younger when I began snowboarding and I hope to continue to ride for another 25 before I get too old to do it.

A couple pictures taken on my walk today from the doctor's office to Metro

Wow, over 300 views of this thread since I got injured, just one expression of concern. What are you looking at? There's nothing to see here. Beat it lurkers.

I'll be sure to bring my camera for the Vasa Ride in March to take DC photos. Don't think I'll be in city before then.

Thanks, I was feeling sorry for myself. First I need to be able to ride. It might be a while before I'm able to take pictures while riding.

A picture of a picture posted on a fence in front of 1000 Conn. 1000 Conn has been under construction for a long time. I heard a rumor about problems with funding resulting from the financial crisis.

Are you still in the cast? Have you been able to work?

I've missed your posts and can't wait for you to get back in the saddle.

Gravelly Point is often on my commuting route to and from Rosslyn. I love racing the jets - but they always seem to win - wonder why. Enjoyed your picture.

Racing the cruise boats is easier. Sometimes you can win.

You've been posting all your stuff in Hybrids and letting this thread languish.

True. I've been spreading the love. I've always posted pictures of my bike in Utility, recently I posted some old shots and some others in Living Car Free...

I know my audience. Here are two pictures I would not have posted if you weren't watching and if you hadn't just bumped the thread. Thanks. Spring has sprung.
