Info about the group ride in Danbury, CT I saw today?
Saw a group ride on Lake Avenue today around 4pm, anybody know anything more about it (ie what shop or club it is)? I know I saw at least a few roadies, but I was headed in the other direction so I didn't get a good look.
I've been looking to get into group riding so any info about other groups in the Western CT area would be good too. Thx

There is a group called Hat City Cyclists based in Bethel. They sponsor the Hat City Cyclefest in June. Just google either and you should find them. Nice bunch of folks!!!!

There's a good chance that it was the "National EMS Memorial Bike Ride 2010". The ride started Saturday going from Portland ME to Nashua NH. Sunday, from Nashua to East Hartford CT. Monday, from East Hartford to Tarrytown NY. The last rest stop Monday was at the Bethel Fire Department before continuing on to Tarrytown. The final destination was Washington DC.
I say this because I was involved and that's about the time frame we went through that area.

Wow, very cool. That makes sense because a few of the guys I saw had big panniers on the back. And congrats on completing that ride, that's alot of miles
