Trexlertown Flea Market

Any body been to this in the past? What type of stuff is for sale? Is it mainly racing stuff or is there more general cycling stuff too? How are the prices?

It's pretty much anything and everything cycling related. It's a mix of teams and racers selling off gear at the end of the season, bike shops clearing out inventory of new merchandise, and riders who are simply cleaning out their basements and garages of used gear. I've seen pro team Colnagos and children's coloring books with cycling themes. Prices are all over the place, but they tend to drop as the day goes on. Of course the best selection is at the beginning of the day, so you take a gamble by waiting till the end. In my opinion, it's definitely worth going.

The deals can be very good, but get there early. It pays to hunt, too, if you're looking for parts. Yes, it leans towards roadie & track gear.

I built up most of a bike from parts I bought there a couple of years ago. Told myself I wasn't going to buy a bike, even drove my Miata. Then like the Johnny Cash song "One Piece at A Time", I bought a frame, then wheels, a crank, a stem....
