Bike Lockers in Boston
Hi - I am a student at Boston College, working on a project to gauge the interest of the New England biking community in using a Bike Locker system. These would be highly secure lockers located at public transit stations and other central locations, where bikes could be stored individually. Lockers would be rented by the user on a daily or monthly basis for a small fee. I would greatly appreciate it if you could answer the short survey with the link below.

Done, if I had one at work that was more secure and better protected from the weather, I'd commute more. I also put near downtown and public transit stations as I work near a public transit station downtown, but near my work would be key.

Done! As a full-time commuter, I greatly appreciate the value of secure bike parking, and I would definitely be willing to pay for it if done right (that is, if my commute were to change - currently I can store my bike in my office).

Thanks. I think it is a decent business/non-profit idea, that would serve a need for a good number of bicycling commuters. Lockers could be installed so that any profits could be used to fund bike lane/bike path projects around the city.

Done. It would be interesting to see your results.
Isn't BC in the midst of a major institutional architectural rennovation plan including both sides of Comm Ave and access over the T tracks? Be a great place for a test installation of the lockers, no? |
