Saturday/Sunday Group Rides in DC

Hey folks,
I'm looking for a group ride to join up with on Saturday or Sunday morning each week. I've been off the bike for a number of months now, so am looking for a group that will not drop me after mile 1 and will challenge me to keep showing up and get faster - any groups like that around? The group I use to ride with in Texas would split up into a fast group and a slow group after the first few miles, I'm looking for something like that.

Cheers!

Bikes: Some bikes. Hell, they're all the same, ain't they?

One example would be the rides from the Bike Rack. Saturday's is a slower ride, more like Group Riding 101 (or 201). Sunday's is faster, with a shorter 40-mile route and some riders branch off for a fast 60+ mile loop after the Starbucks rest stop in Potomac, MD. The Sunday ride strings out quite a bit on a hill prior to Starbucks, too.

DC Velo also meets weekly. I've seen them along the same route as the Bike Rack ride, too.
