I'm not very familiar with this particular event or area of Brooklyn. What type of facilities will there be to secure my bike? Will I be able to walk through the park/jumble with my bike, or be expected to chain 'er up? Knowing in advance would influence my choice of machine for the event. I would imagine, unfortunately, that this area will be a magnet for bike thieves on that day.

It's a small park with an iron fence surrounding it that everyone locks up to. You could walk your bike through, but it'll be crowded. The neighborhood is better than Greenpoint, but that's not saying much. It's a nice neighborhood.

I walked through with my bike last year and it wasn't a problem. I didn't buy anything although I saw a pair of Sidi shoes that should have been my size but were too small when I tried them on. This would be helpful if you have vintage bikes as there were a lot of vintage parts.
