Tomorrow I will be building my road bike with Patrick and I'll definitely hit you up. I'm not in the best shape so my riding capabilities probably won't be able to do 100 miles or so haha.
I'm down as soon as my bike is done, currently I just have my Marin mountain bicycle which needs brake pads and some tires but still rideable.
Let me know if you guys are doing something thats not too crazy, I should be down for it.
Hope to ride with you guys sooner or later!

Highland Park here; get in touch when you've got that bike! I've always wanted to try the bike lane on route 35 over the Raritan River.

That was a daily part of my commute to work, it's quite nice, except debris does tend to gather up close to the curbs. As wide as the bike lanes are, though, it's not really an issue.

Fwiw, I'm in Cranford, and as long as we can keep up some 50+ degree days, I'm down to do some 20-30mi rides during the day. (I work midnights, so typically late morning to real early afternoon works best during the week)

The victory bridge is literally 2 minutes away from my house, and I just got my bike last week (Trek 2.1) so whenever the weather is good i'm up for a ride either here or near the highland park area. PM me when you want to head out.
Usually I ride from Amboy to Metuchen, Edison (Tano Mall), or (if I feel up for the distance) Watchung and South Plainfield near rt 22.

I might start start biking around that area, only been going to Plainfield and turned around near rt. 22. I'll probably start finding routes to take around or over the watchung mountains to head to berkeley heights and summit....just gotta work on those hills though :/

Bayville here, South of Toms River. Some great flats along the bay and marsh, pinelands area. Also, a great local shop, Beachwood Bikes.

Come to Berkeley Heights. I'll take you around some beautiful roads around here and some great hills to boot. Let's see, we can ride up to Far Hills, Chatham, Morristown, probably around Stirling and the list goes on. I used to live in Westfield and I gotta tell you, It wasnt fun. Too many yentas in SUV's crowding the road is not that fun and kills the overall experience. Just my 2 cents, but your mileage may vary!

I'll be in the Belle Mead area this coming week. How's the riding up there? Worth bringing my bike?

Hey, folks, I'm organizing a group ride in Franklin Lakes on March 19. Please follow my other thread. There's a 30 mile course, and I'll be designing a short cut for those who want to ride only 15 miles. The 30 mile route needs a bit of refinement, e.g. making a meeting place.

Interested in a towpath ride? The entrance by Landing Lane looks newly resurfaced and I'd love to explore it.
