Central Park West bike lane is covered with wet leaves. Use caution, it is slippery.

She's a cutie. How old ?. One of my 18 mos. old goofballs likes to help when I work on bikes. He hangs around in case I drop a small part or bolt, then he's on it in a flash and batting it out of sight. I gave to move fast before that part is gone.

Went to Mineola, climbed stairs to Pedestrian Bridge #2

Impressive view
The colder weather means I’ll be using the bikes with the fairings. Greatest advantage of reducing windchill.

First off-road miles of the season! Bethpage trails in fine shape, but looks like they are setting up for a major XC running even,t so tomorrow might not be the day to ride that area. And, a SteveB sighting.
My mechanic here says to drop a couple of PSI.

Pedestrian Overpass #2 at Mineola LIRR

Rode to Mineola last night around 18:00 and again this morning around 11:00.
Fairing gives phenomenal windchill protection, felt much warmer than the 32°F 0°C thermometer.
LiFePO4 battery keeps lights lit.
#317 fairing is larger , six times more cargo space than #318.
On 26”x1.5” ALEX rims, 80psi slicks

Rode to Mineola, then Westbury, came home the back way.

Big Panniers

Comfortable bike, weighs 79 pounds. Went 25 miles. Using this fairing to resist windchill, I’m very happy with the way it works

I'm seriously beginning to think this fairing keeps me riding in the cold.
Went to the Phone-Fixit in Glen Cove, Bought a new battery for the oldest of my 3 phones.

Roslyn Clock Tower.
Went by Roslyn Clock Tower the other night.
The Fly-11 has excellent range. Nimble handling. I have another Tailbox I want to swop, this one is too small for the laundromat run. Other Tailbox has same plugs and wires, so they could be swopped in five minutes, if I felt like it.

Good afternoon to everyone. I registered for my first NYC 5 Borough Bike ride today. Wondering how many of you have done it and if you could share your experiences. Particularly riding back from the ferry to Penn Station at the conclusion of the ride. I have absolutely no experience riding in the city

I would recommend the
Hudson River Greenway, but 8th or 6th Avenue would work too.

Having photographed all the other major bridges that have bike lanes, I set my sights on the Kosciusko Bridge. Started in Manhattan, Penn, went over the Williamsburg, then Meeker Avenue to the bike ramp for the Kosciusko. Return via Queens Boulevard to Kew Gardens, ate at Mini Burger, and took train home.

Visited the Unisphere Monday
Rode 42 miles, but I doubled back between Kew Gardens and Forrest Hills.

Was 42 miles on the odometer. Doubled back two miles between Kew Gardens and Forrest Hills. Battery was down to 2 bars, I took the train back from Mineola, just because I could.
