How did your ride go, Ed? I'm originally from Stoneham, MA. but live in Brunswick, ME now and have done the ride to Boothbay Harbor. It's a great one. Thanks for telling us about this great ride.

I am currently in Rye NH staying with a Warmshowers host and heading for Salisbury Beach reservation for a couple of down days if the weather holds. Used Amtrack to get to BRUNSWICK. Used part of ACA route to Boothbay. Camped at Shore Hills campground (has AAA) discount. Went to Monhegan Island for the day. Headed out to Freeport, then Sack (Cascadia park campground (not a real good one).Saco to Rye via Eastern Trail and East coast Greenway. More to follow later.

From Saco via the Eastern Trail to Kittery, and on to a Warmshowers host in Rye NH. for the night. From there to Salisbury Beach reservation for 2 nights (1 spent in a 1 man tent as it rained all day). I had planned on heading on RT1A to Salem, but the weather was crappy and I took the train from Newburyport to Boston to connect to train to Worcester. I headed to Wells SP in Sturbridge, bu the decided not to stay in a wet tent another night so I rode back home to Springfield. Overall a good trip with NO FLATS ,and only 1 broken spoke.
