Flushing Meadows Corona Park

It's been ages since I've been there. Hoping to visit the next time I'm in the city. Anyone know if bicycling is allowed on the paths and the promenade, or are those just for pedestrians?

Bicycling is allowed everywhere, including the Flushing Bay Promenade, which you can access by going under 25A right across from the entrance to CitiField.

A few years ago, while NYC had a bid in for the Summer Olympic Games, this park was given a total makeover. It looked great for a while, especially the bike path around Meadow Lake, but, in my opinion, they've let it go since then, and it's noticeable.

My wife and I still enjoy riding there, but Meadow Lake, which was one of our favorite sections is no longer a main attraction. If you go to my website at Queens and scroll down to the Flushing Meadows Park description, you'll find some more info.

Don't let this stop you from riding there. I'm only comparing to what WAS. Flushing Meadow and the surrounding area is still a nice ride.

Thanks for the info. I don't care that it's not in its best shape ever. I remember it from decades ago, when much of the city was a dump, so it can't be any worse. I just wasn't sure if Flushing was like Central Park, where most of the paths are pedestrians only.
