NorCal BF Group Ride: Morgan Territory

Bunch of the NorCal riders met this morning to ride Morgan Territory.

Signing up at the start were @Lanceoldstrong @Midland @cccorlew Trica @interungulate Greg and guy that road to the ride (according to Lance)

A couple of mechanical in the group and we learned that Lance has a storage facility out on the route.

Weather was good, overall traffic was cooperative. I helped Lance win a Cat6 race.

Hopefully the others will post as well.

Nice! The Norcal part of the forum doesn't seem as active as it once was, but glad to see you guys are still meeting up to ride! When it gets warmer and you want to escape to the coast, let me know and I'll put a ride together.

Good times. Thanks very much for coming, and for letting me get the Alameda county line sprint at the base of The Plunge.

Good ride. It was Tricia's (MyLilPony) birthday ride. Here with Lance Oldstrong.

Tricia @4tcakes2 with Lance Oldstrong on her birthday ride. Ok, were a couple of days early, but still, happy birthday ride.

We achieve comical mass periodically, but on no set schedule.
I will make sure you get word the next time one of these get togethers, gets together.

I didn't hear about this, so I didn't go. I probably would not have gone even if I had heard about it. Y'all are great folks, and I bombing around the Delta or the Lodi area wineries with you, and I can probably out-eat any two of you combined, but I can't hang on climbs, especially long ones like Morgan Territory, and I would only have held you back.

Glad you folks had a good time. Morgan is a great place to ride a bike. For me, though, it's just that it is a great place to ride a bike quite slooooowly.

A slowpoke ride sounds like a good idea to me.

And that makes (at least) three Gauchos. '86-91 here (philosophy).

A little manipulation of Steely Dan lyrics is in order here:

Who is the gaucho amiga
Why is she riding
In her UCSB jersey
At a social slow poke pace

Video Featuring Gauchos and the real lyrics:

It was fun meeting you all. @nokia8860 I like the idea of building my bike up over time as you have done. Once i get my climbing legs, I guess a standard crank is next...
