Beginner group rides in the East Bay?

Hey everyone. I've been riding on road for about 3 weeks and usually go for 30 miles each ride... I was wondering if there's any beginner group rides out there and if I can get some info on em. I'd like to join...

Thanks in advance!

Best to check in with local bike shops for rides.

There is a ride by Grizzly PeakCyclists that starts from the Orinda Bart Station twice a month on Saturdays.

When I first started cycling (and when I lived in Walnut Creek) I would also do their first sunday and third saturday easy rides. Friendly group of folks. good introduction.

Performance Bike does Saturday rides from all of their stores.
Valley Spokesmen is one of the main Dublin/Danville/Livermore area clubs, they have rides almost every day, of varying difficulty and distance.

Mikes bikes (Pleasanton) has rides from Foothill Kilkare on Saturdays

Livermore Cycles (Dublin) has/had some group rides, not sure if there is a deterministic schedule

I have seen a large group of riders on Thursday mornings at the intersection of Bernal and Foothill. I joined them once on my day-off

best thing is to call them up and ask. Even better is to ride into store and make friends
