Well, that could happen going either way. No big deal when you have wide open paths, but get some blind turns and he is forcing an encounter that may turn out bad.

my "favorites" are the gaggles of walkers walking side by side taking up the whole width of the MUP....typically are chatting and oblivious

another 'favorites" are the trikke people...... taking up every bit of lane they can to keep moving

P.S. Should clarify, this comment usually only applies to urban/sub-urban UMPs. I'm a fan of rails-to-trails effort but I usually only use them in areas where there's little congestion.

We have some real turkeys on our local MUP. And by that I mean actual turkeys. I saw a mother and eight chicks crossing last weekend.
