Large Nor*Cal Fun Ride?

SoCal recently had their annual City of Angels Fun Ride that drew hundreds (thousands?) of riders. City of Angels Fun Ride 2016 presented by Volkswagen | Helping the City?s Littlest Angels! Does anyone know of a similar ride here in Northern CA?

Not Critical Mass or some hipster bike party, but a large-ish weekend, family-friendly ride/event. Thanks.

I don't know what "hipster bike party" means, but San Francisco has their Sunday Streets events once a month Spring through Fall. San Jose has a similar event, but I think only once a year.

Thanks, yup been to some Sunday Streets events. Not strictly a bike run, but a lot of fun, and I like that they're held in different neighborhoods.

Here's a couple bike parties, which are fun events, as well, but not quite like the City of Angels run, which is kinda like a Bay-to-Breakers on bikes (although smaller and more "sterile" ).

The closest you'll get to what you posted is the various rides for <insert cause> events. They usually have a 10k or so family ride that's apart of the larger 100k and 160k type rides.

Another option is the San Jose Bike Party

I did not hear about this ride and it literally passed down the street from my place. This is the first time I have heard about it. I was out riding on Saturday and Sunday and did not see a thing. Strange.
