Bike shops in San Francisco

I'll be visiting San Francisco on vacation next week, unfortunately without a bike, and looking for recommendations for bike shops to check out. Not sure if my wife will play along, but hope to visit some shops in the downtown area. We are staying at the Opal hotel on Van Ness Ave near Geary St. Any recommendations?

Not downtown but if you've never been to a Rapha store, there is one in the marina. There is also Mission Workshop in well... the mission. Both are more on and off the bike clothing focus. As for a bike shop, still not in downtown but a quick uber/lyft ride away is Cykel, if you're into Ritte.

If you're looking for morning group rides while in town check out fatcake also RCC and Cykel host group rides as well. Just check their websites for ride info.

Sport's Basement in the Presidio rents road bikes if you need. Make sure you plan time on riding up Mt. Tam, Mt. Hammy and Mt. Diablo.

Huckleberry Bicycles is walking distance from The Opal. Across the street from that is Warm Planet Bikes which is more focused on commuter bikes. Also within walking distance is High Trails Cyclery

About 1.5 miles away from your hotel is Mojo Bicycle Cafe for coffee, beer, wine, food, and bikes!
