Found a great shop and mechanic Plus food...

Lucky Duck Bicycle Cafe.

Came across this place in Oakland near the 12th st BART, 12th st and Harrison. They have some amazing bikes and real friendly owners. Also, they serve great food, coffee, and beer! No affiliation just wanted to spread the word as they are just getting started and would like to help them out.

Maybe I'm jaded, but I find it hard to believe that someone just signed up on BF to post a positive review of a shop with no affiliation (post count=1). I think that works better with Yelp.

I can't disagree jaded...

HA! Yeah, I thought the same thing when I posted it. OK, so I'm somewhat new to biking here (from back east), but don't hold it against me. Just thought I'd start off with at least one positive share before putting in a bunch of questions.

Anyway, FWIW, I liked the place.

Yeah, I didn't ask but it looks like you can bring your bike inside.

Nice. I'll have to check it out on my way home.
