These guys were giving out bells and water on the CC canal trail at Heather Farm yesterday. Promoting trail etiquette they said. Here's what I learned in a brief chat.

They know that speed will be the key issue with ebikes and will be monitoring. There is a project that has gotten as far as far as rejecting the first bid to smooth and repave the IHT from Rudgear to Newell because of the bumps. These guys had no knowledge of GW_12's recent crash in that area. (See earlier post). As far as the paint outlining dips in the IHT at Walden park, that's not something they do.

To the three Southbound roadie racers who came through that area while I was Northbound and taking it easy amongst the family biking and a couple strollers, you are not appreciated. I guess it's good that modern cassettes are so noisy since there was no attempt to speak up or be like, uh, human. If you want to race, there are roads available.
