QR Slowing Wheel Spinning
I noticed an issue with my wheel. When the quick release is open, the wheel spins very freely. When closed, it slows noticeably. Anyone experienced this? What do you suggest?

I took the bike out for a spin and the wheels are really spinning nicely now. I think the shop I took it to did some work on the wheels and tightened things up, maybe with some fresh grease. I'm guessing it can take some riding for things to loosen up and settle down, and therefore it would make sense for a shop to err on the side of somewhat tight. See this as well: "Bearing will spin with less resistence with age. Settting up a wheel to spin freely while on the bike stand is not a good way to decide bearing tension. Under full load, the bearings behave differently. You have to get the right tension that prevents play, but still allows the lubricant to go in between the bearings and races. Too tight, and the bearing will wear and drag, too lose, and the bearing will not run correctly and lead to control problems."
