Thanks for those who helped on the San Rafael bridge.

Sunday around 1:30 I lost a childhood friend to a massive heart attack on the bridge. If any forum members stopped or know of someone that helped, I want to express my and the family's appreciation for their efforts at CPR. They are thankful he did not pass alone.

Condolences to you and his family. I was one of the cyclists who was on that bridge yesterday but only after it happened. I rolled up to the Southern tower at about 2:10p and noticed only a Caltrans worker and two CHP motorcycle officers at the incident. One of the officers told me that someone had passed away. No other cyclists were with them at the time. I felt very bad for the cyclist who went down as the officer directed us to pass by him. My partner and I live in Berkeley heading north when this happened. We were probably the few cyclist left on the bridge before CHP closed both ends of the bike path.

If we left Lurspur 20mins earlier and we were able to attend to him, I would have done so...but it was good to know that others cyclists were there to help...I'd like to say Thank you to them as well.

Again, I'm heart-fully sorry for your loss.
