New Years Day Ride

Happy New Year – To start the New Year, my wife and I rode the tandem and decided to climb Old La Honda. This was our first climb up Old La Honda. It was cool and very picturesque. We saw a couple of other cyclists on road bikes. We enjoyed the climb, but the descent down 84 was fast and after we started to spin again, our legs were cold and it took time to warm up. We continued on 84 to Whiskey Hill Road and took Sand Hill Road to a Starbucks. We returned via Alpine to Portola and back to 92 and Canada. Our GPS recorded 5400 feet of elevation gained over 42.5 miles.

Here is the shot from Canada and 92 at our finish - beautiful day.
