I want to do more of these instead of just donating money to some org. Tax deductibility is important too, of course. I can't do the Napa TDC, unfortunately. I prefer rides for humanitarian causes. Any more coming up?

Here's one I just saw posted on ba.bicycles:
----------------------------------------------
Ride for Humanity Bike-a-thon
When: Sat, June 2nd
Where: Davis, CA
Join us on June 2nd, 2007 to bike in Ride for Humanity, a benefit to
support the work of Habitat for Humanity of Yolo County. The thirty-
two mile course begins at the Veterans Memorial Center in Davis, loops
through Winters and returns back to Davis.
There will be an extended rest stop at the halfway point in Winters.
Riders are encouraged to relax and refuel for the second half of the
ride. Riders can enjoy music, provided by Aftershockers and the Davis
Lounge Lizards, at the Gazebo while re-energizing themselves with
drinks, snacks and free ice cream provided by Ben n Jerry's in
addition to smoothies sold by Jamba Juice.
