Subject: [SVBC] Bicyclists needed - KPIX TV shoot Friday in SJ

South Bay Bicyclists:

KPIX TV is promoting Bike to Work Day (BWTD), May 17, by filming in
downtown San Jose this Friday at noon. If you'd like to stop by, see
details below.

Be sure to represent bicyclists in a positive image. Obey traffic
wear a helmet, etc.

While I can't participate at that time, I will be promoting BTWD on KPIX
from 5a-7a that morning. Corinne Winter (SVBC Exec Dir) and I will join
KPIX's live weather coverage in downtown SJ at that time.

KPIX TV (CBS-5) is doing a segment this Friday at noon about Bike to
Work day (5/17) and Alameda Bicycle is involved in this segment,
providing tips on biking to work from its expert staff. The producers
want a group of cyclists to be on bicycles, ready to ride at the shoot
this Friday at 12:00 noon (sharp!) If you, or any of your constituents,
friends, peers, fellow cyclists would like to be on TV, casting a
positive image of cycling, please show up: Friday 12:00-12:30 p.m. at
the plaza in downtown San Jose (Circle of Palms - at San Fernando and
Market streets).
For more information about this shoot, or to confirm, you can call Eric
Doyne who is coordinating this shoot at 415-829-2575, or at
