Still got time for one more? If not put me on the list for next time.

Congrats on 10 years!

I'm 5' 5" and 35" chest. The XS is pretty tight on me and the S is mostly tight with some flappy bits.
My Pearl Izumi size S jersey feels bigger than the Champ-Sys "S".
My Bergamo size S jerseys fit somewhere in between the Pearl Izumi "S" and the Champ-Sys "XS".
I'm leaning toward the XS, just in case it stretches some.
I don't want flappy bits but we'll see.

Thanks,
It's not too late. I won't submit the order until a few more people get to try the samples.
I'll PM you details.

Blast, thanks a lot for your feedback; you and I are similarly proportioned and wear some of the same kit; one of my jerseys is also an PI S and I know there are flappy bits around the shoulder in certain positions. I have another one that's a Giordana S that seems a little smaller than the PI, and it's also comfortable. It would appear that the CS jersey sizing runs a little smaller for the same size compared with other mfrs, which is not a bad thing. I guess your main consideration is whether you plan on adding more weight in the future. --> Congrats also on the 10th anniv; have you upheld your end of the bargain by gaining 1 lb for every year?

If I bend and stretch and contort, I might be able to work part of one hand into a PI small jersey. Those look like doll clothes to me.

Uh Oh... I've _lost_ 1lb for each year! No wonder she gave me the evil eye when I asked her whether the S or XS fit better .

Only one more person to try the samples, then I will place the order.
We're up to 51 jerseys (OK 2 are childs ones for my daughters so 49 really) so it should be
a pretty big order for Champ-Sys. Cross your fingers that they give us speedier service for such
a big order. Please look over the tally sheet and make sure your sizing info and item count is correct.

Hmm. Since I can't come down to San Bruno to try it on, I'm a little nervous that my large race cut will fit.

So I'll just pose this to the others who've ordered L Race (crypticlineage, jimples, Pheard, SV Commuter, ScottMorrison, Sesame Crunch, et al.): what size do you wear in PI, Voler, or Biemme?

Caloso - I tried the Large Race Cut and it was a bit tight in the shoulders for me. I don't have any PI jerseys but I do have a Large Adidas, Canondale, etc jersey and they fit snug but not as tight as the ChampSys felt. I was concerned that with a base layer underneath it would be really snug. So I changed mine to a Club Cut.

I tried on the Med club and it felt roomier in the shoulders. So I think the Large Club fit is better for me. Henry measured the jersey on a flat surface from armpit to armpit and I think the Large race was 20"(?) Maybe Henry can chime in...

Also for reference I have a 32" waist and the Large Race was a bit snug for my phat @ss.

Hopefully that helped a little.

Yes, this is extremely helpful. Especially since I have an equally phat @ss.

This is my first road bike jersey, sorry can't help you.

However, I did measure my chest, and I'm actually a medium. I was told the race cut was snugger so I went large in race cut.

Well, my only PI jersey is a club large and it fits fine. The Euro jerseys I have are 5 and 6.

Henry/BlastRadius: is it too late to change my order to Large Club?

I wear a L in Nike, which doesn't say much as far as I know. I also know I have a 44" chest for jackets, so something that fits like a bike jersey with a 42" chest should be about right.

Gee3, you've got some big guns so I'd imagine most jersey's are a bit tighter for you

Caloso, I have a 35" chest, 29-30" waist, which should be an XS according to the sizing chart. However, the "S" fits me well too. I have a standard -5" drop (chest to waist difference) and would be and athletic fit in suit sizing terms. If you have a -3" or more drop, go for the race cut. Go with what the sizing chart recommends if you like it real snug. Go with one size larger if you like it snug but not real snug.
If you have -2" to +X" (bigger around the waist than chest) drop go with the club cut.

If you have a nicely fitting jersey, compare the armpit-to-armpit measurements of the samples I posted. Sorry I don't have more samples.

No, no. This is super helpful and I really appreciate it.

Okay, so I've actually measured: 42 chest, 33 waist (and fairly broad shoulders from swimming).

I guess then, the better fit would be an XL Race. Thanks!

Sesame - I just measured and I have about a 40"-41" chest with my arms down to my sides.

EDIT: looks like I'm close in size to Caloso. I was thinking of getting an XL race cut but decided on the L club cut because I'm short at about 5'6". So we thought the XL might be too long for me.
