Sean, did you give the tight brake a big squeeze on the lever to stretch the cable? Jus' sayin' cuz a shop that leaves 'em too tight is just as likely to not have stretched the cables properly.

Tracy, do you have a cone wrench handy? Yours is even easier to fix than Sean's.

I don't have one but I'm sure VMC does... when I get home I'll have him fix it... I put on my new wheels before I left, not even thinking about that... Ooops!

So, all things being equal, someone (I'm guessing VMC, here) should check the dish on your wheels. :)

I will, but I'm sure they're fine... they are new and the brakes were adjusted for my old wheels and I was in such a hurry to get on the road he didn't even have time to check the brakes...

So when we climbed OLH, were your brakes rubbing then? If so, you were powering up that hill then!

Congratulations on the new ride!

I was curious about the Look 585, so I checked Roadbike Review. (http://tinyurl.com/26vxoj) I don't remember seeing so many strongly positive comments about a bike. Made me think about a new bike for the first time in a long while. At least I may test ride it.
