Anyone up for a ride this Saturday?
No more TnT for me so I'm looking for a ride this Saturday. The local bike club is climbing Mt Tam but I cannot go since they won't be back until around 4PM and I cannot play that long. Looking for a ride in the East Bay, preferably west of Pleasanton and north of Oakland. I am still a beginner so nothing longer than 50 miles or more than, say, 4000' of climbing?
If you'd like to ride early, before 9AM, let me know. Thanks.

I'm doing a ride with Tracy (tprevost) on Saturday, but haven't finalized things yet. Not sure of the time either. However, I think we would probably do a ride in the south bay, near Los Gatos and the peninsula. Oh well.

I signed up for the TnT Tour de Tucson season - we're having our first "real" ride of the season on Saturday. Leaving from Dublin's Shannon Park, at 8:00, about 20 miles. We're heading out to Las Trampas and back. Shouldn't be much climbing at all (just some rollers if I remember correctly). It's a bring a buddy day, so I'm sure they'd let an alumni join in the fun.
JB
edit: I'm sure a few of us might be looking to keep riding after the official ride if you wanted some extra miles.

JB, I'd like to join you. Can you give me the specifics (what time to meet up, etc)? How will I recognize you? I'll wear my purple Redwood Wine Country Region TnT jersey.

Hmmm - I'll have a TnT jersey on (like that helps a lot). I have a Kestrel Talon bike, black and red, and the saddlebag has a TnT Death Ride pin on it. Lots of gray hair, and I wear a base layer under the jersey. It's a weekend, so I won't exactly be clean-shaven. Ask around for Jonathan Buckley - someone will recognize me!
Shannon Park is off of San Ramon Blvd. in Dublin. From 580, take the San Ramon Blvd. exit (just West of 680) and go north on San Ramon Blvd. Take a left on Shannon Ave. (~2 miles from the freeway) and the park is right there. From 680, it's probably easier to take the Alcosta exit in San Ramon and head South on San Ramon Valley Blvd (same as San Ramon Blvd in Dublin, they just changed the name to protect the innocent). We're supposed to meet by 8:00; we probably won't ride until 8:30 since it will take a while to get organized. I'll just be riding there since I live close by in San Ramon.
What TnT ride did you do? Some of the coaches and participants also did the Tahoe ride.

Cool - just check in with the coaches when you get there. Besides the purple jersey, is there an easy way to recognize you?

JB, I'm going to pass on the TnT buddy ride in San Ramon. I'll ride part of the Tour of Napa route tomorrow instead as part of my training for next week's century ride. I've got to try to log more miles before then. Thanks for the invite though.

Dude, you have a Caravan and a couple of 911s? Very interesting combo! I may be riding Saturday, but it's up in the air right now. Which club is doing Mt. Tam?
