I just received some Hammer stuff today--Bergamo bibs (tried them out today), some Heed, and some supplements (Insurance Caps and Appestat).

I like the Voler bibs better, I think. The chamois on the Bergamo bibs is diaper-like.

Beaker, let me know what you think of the Bergamo bibs; I'd be curious to know.

Will do. I've had a set of the Voler bibs for a little while now. I quite like the material, but the pad is getting pretty thin now. I suspect someone will wrap them for me and I'll get 'em for Christmas so bear with me for an update.

I have plenty of warm cylcling gear and a realy nice Cygolite but I need a little more motivation to get out there on some night rides. Since I got this cold I am just now shaking off, I have not been out for a night cruise.

Time for a little retail motivation: A cycle specific reflective vest with an LED built in. Supposed to have 1 mile visibility

Bought these at Sports Basement Presidio... clearance for $22.
Seems to be cozy cold weather gloves; I'll give them a try in the next few nights.

Per MisIncredible recommendation Gerbing's Heated Jacket liner and temperature controller. The gloves are next. Maybe I won't freeze anymore on my commute from work. The installation was pretty easy. Know that add "So easy a cave man can do it?" Well when it comes to mechanical stuff it's "So easy UD can do it." lol The hex wrenches from my bicycle multitool actually worked. Yey for standardization.

I just wish I could wear heated gear on the bicycle too!

Couple of cold winter base layers, jersey and wind vest get me through morning rides. Just need better gloves and arm warmers. Hopefully the craft ones I ordered will do the trick. What I really wish is for heated gear I can wear at work. They keep this place at sub zero temps it seems. I am seriously considering getting Gerbing battery vest.

Do you work at a computer? Just tap into the 12v source that the power supply already puts out

You know joking a side, but I was seriously considering doing that. Their none-motorcycle stuff is too big for me... I am not all that in to electrical stuff, so need to figure out how current and Watts factor in to it. I don't want to damage the jacket or whatever I will be plugging it in to.

Picked up a FSA K-Wing at the bike expo. Installation was a nightmare, until I started using some brain cells.

I bought two pairs of those last season from Sports Basement as well. They work pretty well and are a good value.

Oooo! The dark side. I just rode mine for the first time since early summer. Big time pain climbing some major steep trails but big time fun on the "Big Carson" and "Repack" downhills.
Soon it will be time for a BF MTB ride.

You ain't lyin' bro. Steep hills and soft dirt/ruts makes for some helacious hill climbs. I got schooled today, I'll tell you what.

Right you are. 2009 Marin Mt Vision 5.8. I know zip about mtb's, and less about full suspension ones. But I've wanted one for a long time, and a good opportunity presented itself when I was in a position to deal.

WAY more bike than I'll ever need or be able to fully utilize or appreciate, but it was a hell of a good time banging around the hills today.

Are you sure that's not a Marini, or a Marin-oni, or maybe a Marin-ano? I'm trying to picture you on a non-Italian frame and I think my brain is about to explode!

It seems to be a very aggressive bike. With that much front shock travel it looks like a downhill or an enduro bike. Probably the latter. How much does it weight?

Having switched from a no suspension to a full suspension mtb a couple years ago I was very surprised at how much more control the suspensions provide over rough terrain and downhills. They are very cool!

When the Goomba's make a mountain bike, I'll buy one. For now I'll have to satisfied with this.

Maybe a distorted pic, but this is a XC bike. It was between this and an "All Mountain" bike, and after explaining what kind of riding I was likely to do the seller steered me toward this one. I like it. It climbed well, mainly (I suppose) because of the front lock-out and the rear shock "pro-pedal" feature that damps any rear suspension bounce very well. The descents were a lot of fun - especially the technical ones. The suspension, coupled with the hydraulic disc brakes were very confidence inspiring.

I had an old 1998 Joshua Y full suspension bike a long time ago, but it was like riding a pogo stick when you tried to climb anything. Because of that I was going to buy a hardtail this time around, but it seems the technology has improved a great deal since 1998. I really like this beast.

Oh - it weighs about 30 lbs, I think.
