congratz on the new BMC ....

I picked up a pair of * Vredestein Fortezza Tricomps to replace my aging Vittoria Rubino Pros which started to crack on their side walls.

and swapped out my Look Sprints pedals with some Time I Clic on my plastic bike.

Ordered a Lezyne Road Drive pump for the new bike. Still have a few more things to pick up. Yesterday I got a Giro helmet to replace the one I had on in the crash. While there, the shop said everything for my new bike should be in today. They asked me to bring in wheels, pedals, and saddle. Won't be much longer!

New 7800 shifters to replace my beaten up/unintentional-dismount-scarred 105 shifters. Shifts very nicely with my 7800 derailleurs. New bar tape too - white for about 1 more ride.

Bought some replacement tires tonight. Another set of Specialized Mondo Pro II. Wish they didn't only have the blue striped models :\

A set of Fulcrum Racing 1 2-Ways along with a Dura Ace 7900 cassette.

While waiting for a set of tubeless tires to come in, I decided to slap on an extra set of Mondo Pro II's for a break-in ride. I should say that I tried to slap them on. I was left scratching my head because the Pro II's wouldn't fit on either wheel - too small - though they fit fine on my Ultegra SL's. Maybe I missed something somewhere. So, I grabbed my used set of Mondo Pro's (last year's model) and they fit without any problems. *shrug*

Sold this (my 17 year old winter commuter):

Bought these (my new fixie commuter):

First time I've ever bought a mail order bike... hoping for the best.
Oh wait, I bought a Bike Friday tandem and that went well.
Masi should be here on Thursday.

New bike. Now that I'm a daddy, I'll be pulling trailer duty and I can't tow a Burley behind my carbon race bike (I don't race)! So of course I needed something with a steel frame that was nice and shiny.

Allez Steel Double - Reynold's 520 frame, DT shifters (bottom of the barrel Shimano but no big). Already put on the WH-105 wheelset I had from my Tarmac and in the future I'm going to try and purchase a Shimano 600 EX group.

Stem and bar angle, oh my.
Just get riser bars and get it comfortable and give it better handling for trailer pulling.

Or I can keep the drop bars and ride it how it's comfortable.

Hopefully, this will be in and ready by the end of next week at Dublin Cyclery. I'm not off until Sunday, though.

I went with the RANS standard seat instead of the sling mesh, and have them putting on a SRAM X-9 rear derailer instead of the X-3. If I don't like the straighter "T-bar, I'll get the B-37 and put it on. The picture has the standard seat and the B-37 bars.

I had the joy of buying new Speedplay cleats. Why? See the attachment. Ugh.

I also bought a new saddle bag. Actually happy about finally getting that.

Today I picked up an inexpensive 0 degree, 110mm Salsa stem for my PedalForce. It replaced a 75mm -8 deg Spec stem. That's a dramatic change, but it ends up making the cockpit of the bike just about the same as on my BMC. That should help a lot.

I bought a new Giro Atmos to replace the one I destroyed in my crash last month, and a pair of Pearl Izumi MTB shoes to give cyclocross a try in.
